Purpose of the EMS Jurisprudence Exam

Determine the knowledge of the Health & Safety Code - Ch. 773, Texas Administrative Code Chapter 157, and other rules and applicable laws affecting the EMS provider/personnel’s activities regulated by Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). 

This requirement was imposed by the 84th Legislative Session beginning September 2017 for initial applicants and for certification renewal.
